Hi everyone! Let me introduce myself. My name is Margaret Peacock and I am 🅧 DONE 🅧 with diet culture.
What is diet culture anyway? It's the media we see and the stories we read that plant that seed of doubt in our minds making us think "Food rules are good! Sugar is bad! The smaller portions I eat, the smaller I will be!" Anyone remember this fad diet from Vogue in 1977?:

In all seriousness, this is no way to live. And in all seriousness, I fell into diet culture for a large part of my teens and all of my twenties.
This blog is here to help any and all of my readers in stepping out of the diet culture hole. Everyone deserves food freedom. Everyone deserves to UNBLOCK themselves. Don't feel like "I'll be trapped with these thoughts forever" or "maybe I'm just like this and I have to learn how to live with these thoughts." You deserve more! You deserve A HEALHY AND BALANCED relationship with food and exercise. Integrative health is the way to go: think about yourself as the whole being: mind, body, spirit. I'm going to use this blog as a way to provide information, workouts, recipes, healthy travel tips, and all the life that happens in between. These are parts of my daily life and if I can provide help and knowledge for your life, it will all be worth it. The blog will be a work in progress, but it is here as a tool for myself, you, and anyone you think may benefit from tips to refuel your mind-body connection. My hope is that these posts can influence your habits to help create a life of confidence, balance, and pride.
I'm all about honesty so this blog will be real. I am starting out by saying- I'm not the perfect person. Instead I'm proud of the imperfections I have and continue my journey in health and wellness by working on promoting self-love. Be lenient with yourself!
